  • Water: 825G of Water at a Temperature of 205 °F.
  • Estimated Brew Time: 4:30-5:00 Min

  1. Pre-Heat your French Press. Warm up your French press with hot water, this will help maintain temperature during brewing for best extraction. Discard this water before brewing.
  2. Measure and Grind. Dose out 55 grams of fresh coffee and grind it on a medium-coarse setting. Add 55 grams of medium-coarse ground coffee into the french press. Set press on top of the scale and tare the scale.
  3. Add 825 grams of hot water into the press. Be sure to saturate the coffee completely and start your timer.
  4. Without pressing down on the plunger, place the lid on the press pot.
  5. At the 1 minute mark, remove the lid and gently stir the coffee to break the crust (bloom) and agitate the grounds. Place the lid back on the press pot.
  6. At the 4 minute mark, slowly press down on the plunger until you reach the bottom of the pot.
  7. Immediately decant your french press and enjoy!
